Johnson & Johnson is a Gold Sponsor of BDPA.  We are proud to offer the Johnson & Johnson Scholarship to any eligible college student!  

The Johnson & Johnson Scholarship seeks to provide financial assistance to any rising sophomore or higher student at a 4-year college or university.  The criteria and eligibility for the award are detailed in the attached application, which can also be found here – www.slideshare.net/BDPAFoundation/johnson-johnson-scholarship-2018.

The Johnson & Johnson Scholarship provides $2,500 one-time only scholarships for a college student with a STEM major, strong community involvement and a minimum GPA of 3.0. (01-Johnson & Johnson Scholarship Application)

The next step is yours!  Do you know anyone at Boomer Technology Group who might be interested in this $2,500 college scholarship?   The completed application, typed essay, two letters of recommendation, official transcript and resume must be received on or before Friday, June 1, 2018.

BDPA New Jersey Chapter (www.bdpanewjersey.org) will host “14th Annual (FIT) Families In Technology Day” on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 9am – 1pm. The event will be held at The Center for Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development (CUEED) Rutgers Business School Newark  (www.business.rutgers.edu/cueed)  1 Washington Park Newark, NJ  07102.

6 Informative (STEM) Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics workshops. Presenters range from technology entrepreneurs to educators.

BDPA New Jersey is a 501c3 non-profit organization established in 1981.The mission of BDPA-NJ, in alignment with that of the National BDPA Board, is to sustain a network of Information Technology professionals to maintain a positive influence in industry, education and the community. BDPA New Jersey initiated Families in Technology Day in 2003, an annual event to increase the technology awareness in the surrounding communities.

Today BDPA strives to bridge the Digital Divide with its programs and services. Currently there are more than 40 chapters across the United States. Future plans include continued growth both nationally and internationally.

BDPA New Jersey Chapter (www.bdpanewjersey.org) will host “13th Annual (FIT) Families In Technology Day” on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 9am – 1pm. The event will be held at The Center for Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development (CUEED) Rutgers Business School Newark  (www.business.rutgers.edu/cueed)  1 Washington Park Newark, NJ  07102.

The May 21st event will feature 6 Informative (STEM) Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics workshops. Presenters range from technology entrepreneurs to educators. A panel discussion on STEM Education & Careers will be held featuring Nekeisha Rouse, Gloria Knowles and Jonathan F. Lee.

Nekeisha is a Senior Business Systems Analyst at K. Hovnanian Companies LLC, as well as VP of Members Services for BDPA New Jersey. She has over 10 years of technology experience and has gained many awards for her service and leadership.

Gloria Hall is Director of HRIS at the City University of New York (CUNY). She has over 16 years of experience in the information technology industry with specific focus on end user and functional training.

Jonathan F. Lee is Director of Facilities Management Information Systems at Montclair State University. He has more than 20 years of success in applying strategic planning, leadership, project management and technical expertise, in delivering high performing and managed solutions for public and private sector clients.

There will be door prizes, vendor presentations and a Refurbished Laptop\Android Tablet Raffle for students grades 4-12, who submit an essay.
