On November 10th, LinkedIn’s Black Inclusion Group will be hosting a community event in our New York City office. The event will feature a panel discussion on the topic of diversity and inclusion in the workforce, the challenges the tech community currently faces as well as some proven solutions. The panel will be followed by a networking mixer to meet and connect with other ERG members, leaders & allies to establish relationships across Tech companies.
Our panel includes the CEO of Jopwell Porter Braswell, the Director of Marketing & Corporate Partnerships at digitalundivided Danielle Robinson Bell, and the New Economy Editor at LinkedIn Caroline Fairchild.
The event is intended to create a community of professionals in tech who share our vision of advancing blacks through increased participation in the workforce. It addresses the challenge of knowing and establishing connections with people who have the same mission. In addition, the diversity and inclusion panel will give great insight into what startup companies are doing to establish initiatives around diversifying hires, and give attendees the opportunity to ask pressing questions around diversity and inclusion to thought leaders who have had success executing.
